Rocket Engineering at Yaqan Nukiy

As part of this years STEM programming, Mr. C’s class participated in a Rocket Engineering workshop. Students began with an overview of rocket science and then progressed from building of the nose cone and recovery system to the motors and ejection charges. We concluded the program with several attempted launches – and a reflection on the failures of our designs. The program was exciting and a challenging activity that forced students to think creatively and try new things, while working with new tools and safely using various chemicals.
